Hello everyone from Wales, UK. I see the DT25c 3-cyl Suzuki outboard is something of a favourite with you guys! I've just bought a 1996 longshaft electric start version, which I'm trying to squeeze some more power from. The motor will be fitted to an Avon R340 RIB, so quite a light little boat, weighing only 82kg/180lbs. I've done the middle carb & DT30 throttle linkage modification and have some Boyesen reeds on order, but wondering what other modifications are recommended to get the motor singing? If I get the head skimmed to increase compression, how much do I need to take off and will I need to re-jet the carbs afterwards?
Any help would be much appreciated. Well, all 3 cylinders are showing 95psi, which seems quite low to me and the DT30c has a different cylinder head, which presumably gives it a higher compression ratio. I've read about these motors showing around 130psi, so I'm well off that figure with this one.
Indeed, using its well-designed cabin, large hotels, sports dealing with and sturdy but energy-effective engine collection, this Audi goodie its residents correctly, and like Jeter, appears quite dang razor-sharp while doing this. – If the 2016 Audi A6 had been a baseball participant, it might be a participant in the mildew of a younger Derek Jeter, the kind of celeb sportsman that does everything other than market the sausages and dark beer to adoring enthusiasts. 2016 audi a4 owners manual.

The DT25c isn't really 'exploited' this side of the pond, so I'm struggling to find any info on hp gains, other than the standard procedure to fit the DT30c throttle linkage and 'adjusting' the stop on the middle carb. Hoping to glean some tuning tips from you guys, who are really getting the most from these fine motors. It was quite cold and using the compression gauge from the place I bought it - all cylinders were exactly the same and the motor ran nicely, so I wondered whether his gauge was giving an accurate reading.

I haven't run the motor since bringing it home a couple of weeks ago, as the boat it's going on isn't ready for the motor yet, but I want to check it all over properly using my own compression gauge before fitting it to the boat. Reckon I'm going to strip the head off to check the pistons & bores are ok, so while it's off, I may as well give it a bit of treatment. Click to expand.I was planning on keeping the oil injection system, as they're very reliable on the Soozooks - have you guys had experience of them failing? Thanks for the tip on the rubber caps in the carbs - I'll check them out and have a look at the main jets while I'm in there. I have bitter experience of trying to undo bolts on 15 yo outboards (particularly Soozooks that have run in salt water all their lives) and I try to let sleeping dogs lie as far as possible. I'll check what rpm the limiter kicks in at - I assumed they'd all be at 6000rpm. How much do you want for the prop?
I was thinking of experimenting with some used aluminium props to get the pitch right, then go for a nice shiny stainless one. I'm struggling to find anything coarser than 13' pitch at the moment though and the motor arrived with an 11' pitch.:down.
